Full Dentures

Fremantle Dentures has been part of the local community for many years, offering its patients a wide range of denture services.  If you require a set of full dentures, we can assist in creating a perfectly fitting set of full dentures.

New Full Dentures

Making a full upper and full lower set of dentures is not only a science but is an art form, as they are individually carved, so it is no small feat. Imagine being so involved in a treatment where you know that you will literally help people smile, speak and eat to the absolute best of their ability. We consider it a huge responsibility and at Fremantle Dentures, we are ready to help provide you with your new customised full dentures.

What is a Full Denture?

A full denture is an oral appliance that is custom fitted for a patient, after all of either the top or the bottom teeth (or both) have been removed. A full denture can be tricky to get used to, but when it’s been made and fitted by an experienced prosthetist, your new full dentures shouldn’t cause any irritation or discomfort.

Great time and attention to detail is put into each stage of making a new full denture. The new dentures must be crafted and custom designed to suit each patient’s mouth.

What you can expect:

  1. At your first appointment, we will work with you to establish your requirements for your new full denture, and then formulate an action plan. If you are happy with the proposed treatment plan, we can start right away with making your new full dentures. Firstly, a mould of your mouth will be taken. Thanks to many of the new impression materials and setting times that we utilise, discomfort and gagging is a thing of the past.
  2. At your second appointment, we will record your bite, the vertical dimension, select the shape and colour of your new teeth, then record your centre line and smile line.
  3. At your third appointment, you will get to see and feel your new smile with a replica of the teeth set in wax, which will allow for easy adjustments and corrections. When you are happy with how it looks and feels and give us two thumbs up, we can then proceed to completing your new dentures.
  4. At the fourth and final appointment, you will get your new smile. We check for balance and all lateral movements, and make necessary adjustments to make the denture comfortable.
